Dispute Resolution Secretariat (Tribunal)

Code

The Canadian Sport Dispute Resolution Code ("the Code") outlines the procedural rules under which all disputes submitted to SDRCC must take place. This document is an essential resource for parties, mediators and arbitrators, as well as Dispute Resolution Secretariat staff.

It is highly recommended that parties consult the Code to better understand their rights and obligations before, during and after proceedings. Some of the important aspects of dispute resolution procedures addressed in the Code are: jurisdiction of the SDRCC, confidentiality, timelines, appointment of arbitrators, selection of mediators, settlements and awards, costs, etc.

The 2025 Canadian Sport Dispute Resolution Code (effective April 1, 2025) is available in the related downloads section.

The 2023 Canadian Sport Dispute Resolution Code remains available and continues to apply only to cases arising out of admissible maltreatment complaints filed with the Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner before February 1, 2025.
